Dr. Asma Shakir Khawaja, Executive Director CISS AJK, briefed the Parliamentary Committee on Kashmir on education and research in Azad Jammu and Kashmir on December 30, 2025. The meeting was attended by the Prime Minister of Pakistan and the Acting President of AJK.
The Committee Chairman commended Dr. Khawaja’s expertise and acknowledged CISS AJK’s role in promoting informed strategic discourse.
Dr. Khawaja presented a forward-looking roadmap for cultural and educational empowerment, proposing:
A Digital Gallery showcasing Kashmiri culture
A Kashmir Literature Festival
A comprehensive review of the Kashmir Studies curriculum
She also appreciated the leadership of Rana Mohammad Qasim Noon for the committee’s continued commitment to Kashmir cause.
