During the discussion, she mentioned that elections in India are the largest electoral exercise in the world, but she refrained from calling it democratic due to Modi’s policies, which have turned India into an electoral autocracy. Furthermore, she added that although there is a good voter turnout in the elections, in states facing oppression from Modi, voter turnout is low. She also pointed out that the opposition didn’t get a level playing field in India.
