Visit of CISS Islamabad
On 3rd May, Center for International Strategic Studies visited CISS AJK.
The session commenced with opening remarks of Executive Directors of both teams followed by ARO Tayyaba Khurshid presentation on CISS AJK. Research team CISS AJK presented their insights on very pertinent topics including Quantum Computing by Zohaib Altaf Altaf , Panopticon State and Indian survellience in IIOJK by Shahzad Akram Akram and Environmental issues of AJK by Abdul Rehman . Both teams held an interactive gathering , and concluded the session with exchange of souvenirs.
It was indeed a good interaction with our sister organization and we look forward to collaborate with CISS Research Faculty on important research projects.
Visit of BTTN
A seven-member delegation from the BTTN led by Brigadier (Retired) Agha Ahmed Gul, alongside Executive Director Dr. Zafar, paid a visit to the CISS AJK on March 7, 2024. The purpose of the visit was to foster collaborative efforts in enhancing regional cooperation and security dynamics. The delegation engaged in constructive discussions with the esteemed members of CISS AJK exchanging perspectives on various aspects of strategic importance in the region.
Youth Leadership Camp 2023
A transformative event aimed at nurturing the leadership potential of young individuals. The camp brought together aspiring leaders from diverse backgrounds to share their success and failure stories, engage in team-building activities, and discuss critical issues through various platforms.
The closing ceremony of the Youth Leadership Camp 2023 was addressed by the Chief Guest Raja Najabat Hussain (Sitara e Pakistan) Chairman JKSDM International, Guest of Honour Dr Abida Rafique Resercher Centre for International Strategic Studies AJK Muzzaffarabad and Guest of Honour Abdul Hameed Lone and Host Muhammad Shehzad Khan President Youth Council Pakistan.
Visit of Altaf Hussain Wani along with his Research Team
Altaf Hussain Wani, Director Kashmir Institute of International Relations, accompanied by his research team, undertook a visit to CISS-AJK. In the course of this visit, substantive discussions transpired with Dr. Asma Khawaja, the Executive Director, and Research Team of CISS AJK. The discourse encompassed a comprehensive dialogue on the Kashmir issue, alongside an exploration of CISS AJK’s organizational mandate, operational domains, achievements, and potential avenues for collaborative engagement.
