Nuclear Deterrence and Strategic Stability in South Asia

As part of its academic outreach initiatives, the Centre for International Strategic Studies AJK organized a lecture on “ Nuclear Deterrence and Strategic Stability in South Asia.” The session was delivered by Raja Abdul Basit Khan, Research Officer at CISS AJK.

During the lecture, the speaker discussed the evolving dynamics of nuclear weapons, the concept of deterrence, and the importance of maintaining strategic stability in South Asia. He also highlighted Pakistan’s responsible nuclear doctrine and its role in preserving regional peace through credible deterrence.

Cadets and faculty members actively participated in an interactive Q&A session, reflecting strong interest in contemporary strategic and security issues.

The session proved to be an informative and enriching experience, enhancing participants’ understanding of nuclear deterrence and regional security dynamics.
