Dr Asma Shakir Khawaja , ED CISS AJK appeared on PTV World Show NewsRoom with Omar Khalid Butt to discuss Controversial Wakf Amendment Bill passed by both houses of the Indian Parliament.
She discussed following points:
1. The Wakf bill is continuation of BJP’s policies which are based on inculcating discrimination in Indian constitution and laws.
2. It’s shows BJPs obsession with erasing the past of South Asia marked by contribution of Muslims.
4. Wakf bill was presented by Quaid-e-Azam in 1913.
5. The amendment in bill directly targets the religious freedom of Muslims.
6. The bill is hitting upon the interests of Muslims who are already marginalized.
7. India is drifting from its so
called image of secularism.
8. India is not safeguarding the interests of religious and ethnic minorities.
