Dr Asma Shakir Khawaja , ED CISS AJK participated in the special session organized by Institute of Policy Studies, Islamabad on Pahalgam Attack .
She analysed “Kashmir Conflict and Emerging Scenarios” on 23rd April, 2025.

The following points were discussed in the session :

𝐏𝐚𝐡𝐚𝐥𝐠𝐚𝐦 𝐀𝐭𝐭𝐚𝐜𝐤: 𝐀 𝐜𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐟𝐮𝐥𝐥𝐲 𝐨𝐫𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐦𝐨𝐯𝐞, 𝐧𝐨𝐭 𝐚𝐧 𝐢𝐬𝐨𝐥𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐢𝐧𝐜𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭

The timing, historical incidental patterns, early uniformity in Indian media narratives (despite a lack of concrete evidence), and communal framing of the incident by India signal that the 𝑃𝑎ℎ𝑎𝑙𝑔𝑎𝑚 𝑎𝑡𝑡𝑎𝑐𝑘 𝑤𝑎𝑠 𝑛𝑜𝑡 𝑎𝑛 𝑖𝑠𝑜𝑙𝑎𝑡𝑒𝑑 𝑒𝑣𝑒𝑛𝑡, 𝑏𝑢𝑡 𝑟𝑎𝑡ℎ𝑒𝑟 𝑎 𝑐𝑎𝑟𝑒𝑓𝑢𝑙𝑙𝑦 𝑜𝑟𝑐ℎ𝑒𝑠𝑡𝑟𝑎𝑡𝑒𝑑 𝑚𝑜𝑣𝑒, designed to:

🔺 Exploit Islamophobia
🔺 Destabilize Pakistan’s regional position
🔺 Inflame communal tensions
🔺 Divert attention from India’s domestic crises
🔺 Isolate Pakistan in the global narrative

To counter this, 🇵🇰Pakistan must uphold a posture of resilience and resolve, countering disinformation with facts and exposing false narratives behind such orchestrated incidental violence.
