by CISSAJK

CISS AJK organized an interactive session today on the Pahalgam Incident: Implications for South Asia , featuring distinguished speakers Sardar Masood Khan, Former President of Azad Jammu and Kashmir, and Mr. Altaf Hussain Wani, Chairman of the Kashmir Institute of International Relations (KIIR).

👉 Sardar Masood Khan critically examined India’s increasingly aggressive posture in the aftermath of the Pahalgam attack, describing it as a manifestation of its long-standing “bad neighbourhood” policy. He emphasized that the people of Pakistan stand united as one nation, prepared to respond to any hostile actions with a Quid Pro Quo Plus strategy.

🇵🇰 Mr. Altaf Hussain Wani shed light on the internal political dynamics of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK), asserting that the Pahalgam incident appears to be another instance of a false flag operation orchestrated by India. He provided historical context to similar past events, highlighting the pattern of misinformation and provocation.

🚨 Both speakers warned of the possibility of further escalations from the Indian side and underscored the severe implications such actions could have on regional peace and stability.

⏹️ In her concluding remarks, Dr. Asma Shakir Khawaja, Executive Director CISS AJK, urged the international community to play a proactive role in resolving the long-standing Kashmir dispute to ensure lasting peace in South Asia.

🎙️ The session was moderated by Syeda Tahreem Bukhari, Associate Director, and was attended by the CISS AJK research faculty. The speakers also commended the timely and analytical academic contributions of CISS AJK following the Pahalgam incident.
