CISS AJK organized a roundtable discussion of research faculty led by Dr. Asma Shakir Khawaja,Executive Director CISS AJK to commemorate Youm-e-Tashakur today. Dr Asma in her opening remarks congratulated on successful culmination of Operation Bunyan-un-Marsoos and Marka e Haq and encouraged the researchers to contribute effectively for their country through their academic writing and research. Tahreem Bukari, Associate Director CISS AJK shared her views on Strategic Stability post Kahsmir crisis and way forward for Pakistan. She highlighted the need for resolution of Kashmir Issue and warned of future aggression by India under their current leadership. Zohaib Altaf Associate Director explained the technological dimension of Operation Bunyan-ul-Marsoos stating it as a classic example of multi domain warfare.He highlighted Pakistan preparedness and technological advancement and well integrated systems that gave Pakistan relative edge over Indian advance fighter jets and conventional superiority.He suggested dialogue and CBMs as the only way forward between two states highlighting Pakistan resolve towards peace and Stability. Tayyaba Khurshid discussed the Post crisis situation and the effectiveness of DGMO hotlines and non-attack agreement between two states also suggesting that dialogue and Confidence building remains a challenge amidst war jingoism and false rhetoric projected by the Indian Government. The researchers also shared their points on internationalization of Kashmir Issue and how Pakistan should effectively move forward and present it’s case. The event ended with a cake cutting ceremony and prayer for the long lasting unity and strength of Pakistani nation.
