CISS AJK Events| 29 July 2025

⏩As part of its Summer Internship Program 2025, CISS AJK held a session titled “In Conversation with Thought Leaders”, featuring Brigadier Muhammad Tariq Sohail, Sector Commander ISPR AJK & GB.

The session was moderated by Mr. Abdul Basit, Associate Research Officer and Master of the Ceremony, who welcomed the audience and highlighted the significance of direct practitioner engagement for the interns.

♦️This was followed by the Recitation of the Holy Qur’an and the National Anthems of Pakistan and Azad Jammu & Kashmir.

🌐Ms. Syeda Tehreem Bukhari, Associate Director CISS AJK, delivered the opening remarks, stressing the need for youth involvement in national strategic thinking.

👉In his keynote address, Brigadier Tariq Sohail provided an overview of Pakistan’s evolving security environment and the importance of strategic communication in hybrid warfare.
👉 He also described how Operation Bunyan-ul-Marsous demonstrated Pakistan’s military excellence, outmatching India across all domains of war, including conventional, information, and psychological warfare.

🎙️Dr. Asma Shakir Khawaja, Executive Director CISS AJK, concluded the event by reflecting on the importance of nurturing informed youth leadership in conflict-sensitive regions.

⏹️The session ended with a souvenir presentation to the Brigadier. Tariq Sohail and a group photo with the first batch of interns and faculty.
