On International Youth Day, CISS AJK organized an academic trip for its Summer Internship cohort to the Institute of Strategic Studies Islamabad (ISSI) and the Army Institute of Military History (AIMH).
At ISSI, interns engaged with Dr. Khurram Abbas , Director India Study Centre, and Ms. Mehwish Hafeez, Research Fellow, who delivered an insightful presentation on critical terminology and responsible writing in the context of the Kashmir dispute. The discussion emphasized accurate narratives, critical thinking, and research career paths and way forward on Kashmir dispute.
In her concluding remarks, Ms. Tayyaba Khurshid, expressed gratitude to ISSI for hosting its first batch of interns and reaffirmed the formal partnership between both think tanks for future academic collaborations.
At Army Institute of Military History, the Director Research, Brigadier Sohail Nasir , delivered an insightful and detailed lecture on the evolution of warfare through the OODA Loop model developed by John Boyd, with a particular focus on the concept and dynamics of hybrid warfare.
➡️Following the lecture, participants were given a guided tour of the Institute’s state-of-the-art facility, which meticulously preserves and documents the military history of Pakistan.
▶️During the tour, they received detailed briefings on the archival processes, historical exhibits, and the Institute’s role in safeguarding the nation’s military heritage.
