CISS-AJK marked Independence Day with a special event led by our research interns in collaboration with the research faculty on the theme “When the Nation Calls: The Significance of Collective Resolve.”

The discussion highlighted the historical struggles and perseverance that shaped Pakistan, reflecting on how challenges have transformed us into a resilient nation with a determined youth who stood shoulder-to-shoulder with our armed forces during Marka-e-Haq. Participants also emphasized the journey towards national glory and the work that still lies ahead, while reaffirming solidarity with our Kashmiri brethren in their rightful struggle for self-determination.

Dr. Asma Shakir Khawaja , ED CISS AJK concluded the session by underscoring the enduring relevance of the Two-Nation Theory in contemporary times, cautioning against blind adherence to foreign narratives and urging independent, informed thinking.

The event ended with a cake-cutting ceremony, celebrating the spirit of independence.
