The Vice Chancellors’ Consultative Meeting brought together academic leaders from across AJK to strengthen inter-university collaboration and research partnerships . The event was graced by Wajiha Qamar, Minister of State for Federal Education & Professional Training, and Zafar Iqbal Malik, Minister for Higher Education, AJK, reflecting strong government support for academic excellence.
Dr. Asma Shakir Khawaja reaffirmed @CISSAJK’s mission to bridge universities, foster research culture, and enhance educational quality across AJK. The session was moderated by Rimsha Malik, Associate Research Officer, CISSAJK.
Vice Chancellors shared insightful perspective:
Dr. Nasir Jamal Khattak (UAJK) emphasized financial sustainability and institutional collaboration.
Dr. Anila Kamal (Women Univ. Bagh) highlighted digital literacy, data privacy, and responsible tech use.
Dr. Younus Javed (MUST) stressed the link between education, innovation, and economic security.
Dr. Asif Mumtaz Sukhera ( Mohi ud Din Univ.) discussed affordability and declining admissions.
Dr. Khawaja Farooq (Univ. of Haveli) called for research infrastructure and faculty development.
A landmark MoU was signed between MUST, UAJK, WUB, Mohi-ud-Din Islamic University, and Al-Khair University — marking a milestone in inter-university cooperation.
Souvenirs were presented to esteemed guests and VCs as tokens of appreciation, symbolizing mutual respect and unity.
Tehreem Bukhari, Associate Director of Research, CISSAJK, concluded the meeting by emphasizing research culture, innovation, and quality-driven education.
The forum ended with a Joint Communiqué announcing Thematic Working Groups on Research Collaboration, Digital Learning, and Curriculum Reform — paving the way for a stronger higher education ecosystem in AJK.
