Dr. Asma Shakir Khawaja, Executive Director CISS AJK, participated in the 10th CISS–IISS Workshop on Nuclear Deterrence and Strategic Stability in Europe and South Asia.
The workshop brought together senior experts, including Lt Gen (R) Nadeem Zaki Manj , who stressed Pakistan’s disciplined and responsible approach to security policymaking under Full Spectrum Deterrence.
✨ Dr. Asma Shakir Khawaja echoed these views, emphasizing that rationality is subjective and there is a need to develop a more inclusive understanding of the colonial concepts in the post-colonial framework.
She highlighted responsible strategic conduct and informed policymaking that is essential for long-term stability and evolving security landscape. She considered “Time as a luxury” in strategic calculas of South Asia.
