After reviewing their widely-read article on AI content generation in The Diplomat, the Facebook Oversight Board invited CISS AJK research officers, Zohaib Altaf and Nimra Javed, to discuss AI-generated content policies on Meta platforms.
In their meeting, they emphasized the need for AI models to account for cultural contexts in content moderation and the importance of aligning moderation standards across platforms.
They also addressed protecting vulnerable communities, particularly in conflict and politically sensitive zones, where AI-generated content can be weaponized or exacerbate instability.
Their insights contributed to the global conversation on responsible AI deployment in digital spaces.

1 .The webinar highlighted the need of playing an active role in reducing nuclear dangers and minimizing the role of nuclear weapons in military strategies and inventories.
2 .It advocated for the importance of nuclear-armed states to effectively communicate with each other in a safe, secure, and reliable manner.
3 .The webinar addressed answer to the question: when or at what point in time, before or during a crisis, would states want to use a multilateral or bilateral crisis communications mechanism?
4. It emphasized the need for multilateral crisis communications and to assess the status of crisis communications in nuclear-armed states.
5. . Dr. Manpreet Sethi, Dr. Rabia Akhtar, Dmitry Stefanovich, and Daniil Zhukov were esteemed speakers for Webinar moderated by IST’s Deputy Director of Nuclear Policy Sylvia Mishra, with an introduction by Technology Policy Analyst Christian Steins.

Dr. Abida Rafique had the honor of being invited as a speaker by the Pakistan High Commission UK on February 5th. The distinguished panel of speakers included notable figures such as Ms. Mushaal Hussein Mullick, Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Human Rights & Women Empowerment, Senator Mushahid Hussain Syed, as well as esteemed Members of Parliament from the UK including Lord Qurban Hussain, MP Debbie Abrahams, MP Imran Hussain, and MP Afzal Khan. Additionally, Raja Najabat Hussain, Chairman of Jammu Kashmir Self-Determination Movement International, and Muhammad Ayub Thakur, Chairman of World Kashmir Freedom Movement, graced the event with their insights and expertise.
