Tayyaba Khurshid presented paper co-authored with Shahzad Akram on “Convergence of Image-fare and Social Media to Transform Pakistan’s Image.” The concept of image fare is relevant to understanding how countries like Pakistan are perceived at the international level. A country’s image can be shaped by various factors, including its political and economic stability, cultural values, and historical legacy. The paper will apply the convergence of image fare and social media as soft power to improve Pakistan’s Image Internationally. Images can be used as a powerful tool for shaping perceptions about a country and its people, and can influence decisions made by foreign governments, investors, tourists, and other stakeholders. Pakistan has made efforts to improve its international image in recent years, with initiatives such as promoting tourism and investing in cultural diplomacy. However, the effectiveness of these efforts remains a subject of debate.
