Executive Director Dr Asma Shakir Khawja was interviewed by BBC Urdu on the Intercontinental Ballistic Missile Test ICBM by China. According to her, America’s encirclement of China , particularly the establishment of airbases, signals an attempt to provoke China and sending a clear message of containment through its various strategies in AsiaPacific. However, China is fully prepared for defense. With its advanced missile technology spanning four dimensions, China may now be testing its technological precision and capabilities.
She also shared her insights on India’s Agni-4 missile test which directly impacts Pakistan’s security. According to her, such tests not only raise serious concerns for Pakistan’s defense but also elevate the arms race at the global level.
She emphasized the importance of alliances in the international system, adding that while such developments are significant, no nation ever fights a war for another state.
