Research Officer Tayyaba Khurshid participated as a speaker in a webinar organized by JKDFF on the occasion of International Human Rights Day. The webinar, titled ” Atrocities Committed by Occupational Forces in Occupied Jammu & Kashmir ,” provided a platform to address and discuss the severe human rights violations in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu & Kashmir (IIOJK). She highlighted the global silence on these atrocities, analyzing it within the context of the shifting geopolitical environment. She emphasized the significance of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, which, through its 30 articles, addresses fundamental freedoms yet remains far from full implementation. Stressing the international community’s moral and legal obligations, she called for urgent action to hold violators accountable and to ensure justice for the oppressed people of IIOJK.The webinar underscored the pressing need for global commitment to human right, particularly in regions facing prolonged occupation and impunity
