As part of its Summer Internship Program 2025, CISS AJK hosted an exclusive session titled “ In Conversation with Thought Leaders ”, featuring, Commander 1 Azad Kashmir Brigade.

▶️The session was moderated by Mr. Abdul Basit, Associate Research Officer at CISS AJK, who guided the proceedings and ensured a smooth flow of the event.

🔶The program began with the Recitation of the Holy Qur’an followed by the National Anthems of Pakistan and Azad Jammu & Kashmir.
Ms. Syeda Tehreem Bukhari, Associate Director CISS AJK, then delivered the welcome remarks, highlighting the importance of youth engagement in national strategic thinking and bridging the gap between academia and policy.

➡️In his keynote address, Comd 1 AK BDE shared his perspectives on “ The Strategic Role of Youth in Sustaining National Cohesion ”, with particular emphasis on lessons from Operation Bunyan-um-Marsous. He explained how Pakistan effectively countered hybrid threats, combining conventional strength with information and psychological warfare to secure the nation’s interests.

💡 Dr. Asma Shakir Khawaja , Executive Director CISS AJK, concluded the session by stressing the need to equip the youth of AJK with the knowledge and resilience to navigate complex security challenges.
The event concluded with an interactive Q&A session, a souvenir presentation to Comd 1 AK BDE, and a group photograph with the first batch of CISS AJK interns and faculty.
