Research Officer Nazia Sheikh, Associate Research Officer Hira Bashir, and Sana Iqbal Assistant Librarian attended a distinguished lecture series at IPRI. General Zubair Mehmood Hayat, the speaker, provided a thorough analysis of “the emergence of Bharat and its implications.” He emphasized that the transformation involves more than just a name change for the state; it signifies a shift in the nature and character of the state.
Gen. Hayat discussed how Akhand Bharat is rooted in the Hindutva ideology. He highlighted the political and military operationalization of these ideas by BJP and RSS. He expressed concern that India’s pursuit of great power status, inspired by Nazism and fascism, poses a substantial threat to both Muslim and Christian communities.
